Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information LiveRoll collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. We try to keep this short and honest.
What we collect
We collect a small amount of information needed to operate the game and improve it.

What we don't collect
- We don't ask for your real name, email, address, or phone number.
- We don't collect payment information — there's nothing to pay for.
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We don't use facial recognition or biometric data.
Third-party services we use
To operate the site, we send some data to a small number of vetted services:
- PostHog (US Cloud) — product analytics. Stores event data tied to your anonymous ID. PostHog privacy policy.
- Google AdSense — advertising. Sets cookies for ad delivery. Google privacy policy.
- Google Fonts and cdnjs / unpkg — content delivery for fonts and JavaScript libraries. These services may log your IP per their own policies.
- MLB Stats API — public sports data. We send no user information to MLB; we only fetch public game data.
Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries:
- localStorage: your anonymous account token, your contest selection, your age-gate confirmation, your selected sync delay, and a few UI preferences.
- Google AdSense cookies: ad delivery (you'll see Google's consent banner where required).
- PostHog cookies: a per-device identifier so analytics events tie together across visits.
You can clear browser storage anytime — note this also clears your account and game history.
Your choices
- Decline ads: use the cookie consent dialog to opt out of personalized ads. Ads may still show, but won't be personalized.
- Block analytics: use a browser extension like uBlock Origin or your browser's Do Not Track setting. We honor browser opt-outs at the analytics provider level.
- Delete your account: clear your browser's localStorage for liveroll.live and your gameplay history is no longer linkable to you. To request server-side deletion of any data tied to your anonymous ID, email hello@liveroll.live with the ID and we'll remove it.
Children
LiveRoll is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to secure data — TLS in transit, restricted database access, principle-of-least-privilege server credentials. No system is perfect; we encourage you not to rely on this site for any sensitive data (you shouldn't have any to share with us anyway).
International users
Our servers are in the United States. By using LiveRoll from outside the U.S., you consent to your data being processed in the U.S.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be announced on the site.
